Saanich Climate Action Plan
Saanich has completed the draft Saanich Climate Action Plan in preparation for public review and input. This plan proposes new greenhouse gas reduction targets for the community and municipal operations and lays out the strategies and actions to achieve these goals. |

H1N1 Virus Update
The District of Saanich is continuing to monitor and assess the risk posed to residents by the H1N1 virus. Saanich Staff are maintaining regular contact with representatives from VIHA, the Provincial Emergency Program and the Ministry of Health Services. |
Saanich Torch Relay Route Celebration
The residents of Saanich are invited to have a personal opportunity to participate in Olympic Games tradition and history on Friday, October 30, as the Olympic Torch passes through our community on its’ cross Canada journey towards the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. |

Saanich Fireworks Regulation Bylaw 2009
The Municipality of Saanich has a Fireworks Regulation Bylaw No. 8865 to regulate the sale, possession, and discharge of fireworks in the community. A Fireworks Safety Course is mandatory for those wishing to use consumer fireworks. The Saanich Fire Department offers this course as a public safety initiative. |
